The Beam is a tri-annual printed publication based in Berlin, focused on the topics of energy transition and the race to a zero carbon economy.
Invited to fill four pages of the magazine, we created a fictitious exposé titled Fossils: A Retrospective Study of Early 3rd Millennium Pro-Waste Lobbying, and filled the exhibition with salvaged documents from a company called "We Want Waste!"
We Want Waste! was a for-profit advocacy group which began as a faction of the dwindling American fossil-fuel and paper industries in the late 2070s. Its primary objective was to resist the growing corporate and political sustainability efforts which are today considered commonplace. The organization dissolved in 2095 due to the exorbitant cost of running their offices on gasoline-powered generators and procuring long-obsolete printing supplies.

Invités à occuper quatre pages du magazine, nous avons créé un exposé fictif intitulé Fossils: A Retrospective Study of Early 3rd Millennium Pro-Waste Lobbying. L'exposition est remplie de documents récupérés d'une société appelée "We Want Waste!"
We Want Waste! fut un groupe de défense d’intérêts à but lucratif conçu lors du déclin des industries pétrolières et papetières américaines à la fin des années 2070. Son objectif premier était de résister à la pression politique et commerciale en matière de développement durable. L'organisation est dissoute en 2095 en raison du coût exorbitant de la gestion de ses bureaux qui opéraient avec des génératrices à essence et qui achetaient des fournitures d'impression obsolètes.
